Singer Simi narrates how Police pointed gun in her face for laughing [video]

Singer Simi has narrated an experience she had with the Nigerian Police when she had a gun pointed in her face because a friend of hers laughed. 

She said this while reacting to police brutality reports via her insta-story. She disclosed that she is terrified of policemen with guns and added that people in uniforms tend to have a god-complex. 

She also recounted seeing a drunk police officer amongst other things. She advised youth to be smart if they ever faced such situations. She told them to record if they could safely do so.

Recall that the singer opened up on her ordeal with the Nigerian police in 2018, after she bagged an ambassadorial deal with the Constitutional Rights Awareness and Liberty Initiative. “The last one was pretty dramatic and emotionally traumatic,” the singer said. “This is why it is important for everyone to know their rights. “I have had several human right infringements. Not too long ago, I had a situation with the police force and it wasn’t a pretty picture,” she said.
