In a video that has begun to go viral online, a large number of South Africans have reportedly taken to the streets to publicly ask Nigerians for forgiveness over the recent xenophobic attacks in the country.
They could be seen carrying banners and placards that called for Africans to unite and stop the violence against one another.
Recall, the attacks had begun about a week ago with the burning of shops and loss of lives which ended up spiraling into Nigeria where mobs sought to take revenge by attacking shoprite outlets.

Meanwhile, South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa has dispatched a special envoy to seven African countries to deliver a solidarity message and also brief each country’s government on the South African government’s effort to address the xenophobic attacks.
