The move is said to be part of efforts by the governor to improve the way the government communicates with the public.

While Nsa Gill has been removed from the CPS role, he has been given a new position as Special Adviser on Public Affairs.

In this role, he is expected to help boost the connection between the government and the people, and support better understanding of government policies.

Both appointments take effect immediately.
