Stop playing Nigerian songs in this country – Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG pleads with DJs

Ghanian singer Fuse ODG, has taken to social media to beg DJ’s to reduce constant playing of Nigerian songs in the country. 

Fuse took to his Twitter handle to beg the other Ghanaian DJ to limit the way they play Nigerian songs at events and outings they cater for, advising that they play more local songs.

He said that it was better for the DJs go promote underground and local acts rather than Nigerians who would only play their own songs. 

Nana Richard Abiona (born 2 December 1988), better known by his stage name Fuse ODG, is a Ghanaian–English recording artist.

He is best known for his 2013 single “Antenna” which peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart, and for featuring in Major Lazer’s “Light It Up (Remix)” which also peaked at number 7 on the UK Singles Chart.

Born in London and raised in Ghana, Fuse returned to London for his secondary education, where he attended the Archbishop Lanfranc School, Croydon. He grew up in Mitcham, South London.
