A lecturer at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Dr Boniface Igbeneghu, who was implicated in a sex for grades documentary by BBC Africa’s Eye has reportedly attempted suicide.
The lecturer who is also a pastor was caught on camera sexually harassing a journalist who had gone undercover as a 17-year-old seeking admission.
He had spoken about the existence of a senior staff club where lecturers reportedly took students to fondle and molest.

With the release of the documentary, the pastor has since come under fire and has been suspended by the University and his church, the Foursquare Gospel Church.
A close family friend has confirmed that the lecturer was admitted to the hospital after he drank rat poison in an attempt to kill himself reports Theinfong.
He was reportedly found late Monday morning unconscious and frothing at the mouth. He has since been rushed to Reddington hospital the family friend said.
