Super Eagles Plane makes emergency landing as window suffers cracks mid-air

The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a scare on Saturday when a window on their airplane developed a crack while they were en route home from South Africa.

This forced the ValueJet aircraft making the trip to make an emergency landing in Angola.

According to Sahara Reporters, a senior official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the incident, describing it as “a close call that could have been worse.”

The aircraft, which was en route to Uyo, Akwa Ibom, for a crucial World Cup qualifying match, diverted after the pilot detected the fault midair.
