The Benue State House of Assembly has reinstated six lawmakers who were earlier suspended over alleged misconduct and disruption of legislative activities.
The legislators, Solomon Gyila, Williams Ortyom, Blessed Onah, Simon Gabo, Anyor Mato, and Elias Audu were among 13 members suspended by the Assembly on February 19, 2025.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr. Terver Zamber, the decision to lift the suspension came after the lawmakers submitted a formal apology to the Speaker and the House.

Zamber confirmed that the six lawmakers are now free to return to their full legislative duties.
