Tension As DSS Arrests OAU Students During Wike’s Campus Visit (VIDEO)

Two students from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, were arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) after staging a protest against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

The protest took place during the university’s 2025 Distinguished Personality Lecture on Thursday.

The students, identified as Kelechi Ejike and Joshua Temitope Oladepo, held placards and called on Minister Wike to compensate residents affected by demolitions carried out under his leadership in Abuja.

The protest briefly disrupted the lecture where Wike was delivering the keynote address.
