Violence has flared up again in the Middle East just a day after a ceasefire was announced between Israel and Iran.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has instructed the military to launch intense airstrikes on Tehran, accusing Iran of breaking the US- and Qatar-brokered truce.
Iran, however, denies any recent attack on Israel and insists it is ready to respond to any Israeli aggression.
Earlier, Iran had launched a barrage of missiles at southern Israel, killing at least four people in Beersheba.
On Monday evening, it also attacked a US military base in Qatar in retaliation for American strikes on its nuclear facilities.
The Iranian government claims over 400 of its citizens, including 13 children, have died since Israel began its offensive on June 13.
In contrast, at least 24 Israelis have reportedly been killed by Iranian strikes.
Despite the ongoing violence, France has welcomed the ceasefire and urged Iran to restart nuclear negotiations.
The head of the UN nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, has also called for diplomatic engagement, expressing hopes to meet with Iran’s foreign minister soon.
Iran, meanwhile, thanked Qatar for its efforts to reduce tensions, although Qatar has condemned Iran’s attack on its Al Udeid airbase and summoned the Iranian ambassador.
Qatar described the incident as a serious breach of its sovereignty and reported the matter to the UN.
Israel’s military remains on high alert, warning that the ceasefire does not eliminate the threat of further violence.
Iranian officials say their forces are also ready to respond if provoked, with Iran’s atomic energy chief confirming that plans are underway to repair damaged nuclear sites.

In Gaza City, hospitals like al-Shifa are overwhelmed with wounded civilians. Many are dying before receiving treatment, with 37 Palestinians killed since dawn, including five from one family in a residential strike.
