Three pastors of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) passed away on New Year’s Day.
According to Punch, the late clerics included Evangelist Oladotun Elusanmi of Orisun Ayo Parish in Ilupeju, Shepherd Olumuyiwa Michael of Christ Testimony Parish in Ikorodu, and Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Johnson Olajuwon from the Saint S.B.J. Oshoffa Cathedral in Ketu, Lagos.
The news of their passing, which has left the Celestial Church community in mourning, was shared via official and social media platforms.
While Olajuwon had participated actively in the church’s crossover service hours before his demise, Michael’s and Elusanmi’s deaths were confirmed through separate announcements by their respective parishes.
Church leaders cautioned against interpreting these events through superstitious beliefs, reminding members that life and death are natural and inevitable.
Condolences have poured in for the grieving families, with promises of support from the church’s leadership during this difficult period.
