Timileyin Ajayi, the prime suspect in the murder of Salome Adaidu, was arraigned on Monday before the High Court of Justice in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State.
Ajayi is facing a charge of culpable homicide punishable by death, as stipulated under Section 221 of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria.
Presiding over the case, Justice Simon Aboki formally read the charge against Ajayi, to which he pleaded not guilty.
