Tinubu Appoints New Minister
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro from Plateau State as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction and has forwarded his name to the Senate for confirmation.
The appointment follows the election of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July.
Dr Doro, born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, has more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, leadership, and community service in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA with a focus on technology-driven business strategy, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.
He also serves as an Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner with the UK’s National Health Service.
Dr Doro has been actively involved in youth mentorship and social impact initiatives both in the diaspora and within local communities in Nigeria.
