President Bola Tinubu has directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to offer automatic employment to the four children of the late FCT Head of Service, Dr. Grace Adayilo.
The directive was announced during her funeral service on Saturday at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja, where government officials, civil servants, relatives, and friends gathered to honor her.
The move was made to support her family, as she was their breadwinner before her death.
Dr. Adayilo was remembered for her dedication to public service, especially in ensuring prompt payment of salaries and entitlements to workers.
She was also described as a selfless leader and a source of encouragement within her community, leaving behind a legacy of humility, hard work, and commitment to duty.
“On behalf of the FCT Administration and on behalf of Mr President, I want to send our condolences to her family. Mr President has directed me to give the four children automatic employment because he understands that now there is no breadwinner for them,” Wike said.
