Tinubu sacks appointee
President Bola Tinubu has sacked Fegho John Umunubo from his position as Special Assistant on Digital and Creative Economy attached to the office of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The announcement was made in a statement on Monday by Abiodun Oladunjoye, Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House.
The statement confirmed that Umunubo’s appointment had been terminated with immediate effect, adding that he no longer represents the administration in any capacity.
Members of the public and stakeholders were cautioned against conducting any form of engagement with Umunubo on behalf of the federal government, stressing that such actions would be at their own risk.
No reason was given for the decision.
Reacting to his removal, Umunubo posted the State House press release on Instagram alongside a personal message where he described his service as an honour and said he was now free to pursue other opportunities.
