President Bola Tinubu has requested the Senate’s approval for the 2025 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) budget.
The request, outlined in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, was presented during the Senate plenary session.
According to Tinubu, the 2025 budget prioritizes healthcare, job creation, youth empowerment, social welfare, educational infrastructure, and agricultural productivity.

He proposed a total expenditure of N1.7 trillion for the year, with 85% allocated to completing ongoing projects and the remaining 15% earmarked for new projects.

The president expressed his hope that the Senate would promptly consider and pass the budget.
