Nigerian Afrobeats star, Tiwa Savage, has refuted claims that she once trolled Grammy-winning singer, Wizkid, amid speculations of a fallout between the two artistes.
The controversy began after a fan on social media assured Savage of support from Wizkid’s fan base. Another user, however, countered, alleging that the singer had trolled Wizkid in the past and did not deserve their backing.
The debate prompted a fan to consult XAI chatbot, Grok, on the matter. The bot clarified that there was no evidence of Savage ever trolling the Starboy boss.Reacting to the clarification, Tiwa Savage wrote on her social media page:
“Thank you o, have never done that. But they have just ran with this narrative and I have just kept quiet.”
Tiwa Savage and Wizkid have long been linked by rumours of a strained relationship following their close bond years ago.
In 2018, their chemistry in the music video for “Fever” fueled widespread dating speculation. However, both artistes publicly maintained that they had never been romantically involved.
The singer’s latest statement now seeks to set the record straight, dismissing suggestions that she ever attacked or mocked Wizkid online.
