Vice President Kashim Shettima and former African Development Bank President Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina will join other notable figures in Abuja on June 4 to discuss leadership in Nigeria’s civil service.
The gathering will be chaired by Oba Olu Falae, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, and will also mark the launch of a new book titled “Leadership in the Nigerian Civil Service.”
The book, written by Dr. Goke Adegoroye, a retired Permanent Secretary and the pioneer Director-General of the Bureau for Public Service Reforms shares insights from his extensive experience in public administration over the past 50 years.
According to Japh Nwosu, a former Federal Permanent Secretary and Chairman of the Public Presentation Planning Committee, the book offers a deep dive into the realities, challenges, and successes of leadership in the civil service, while also providing practical guidance for improvement.
The launch, scheduled to take place at the Rotunda Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will feature keynote speeches by Vice President Shettima and Dr. Adesina, who is the Special Guest of Honour.
The book will be reviewed by Professor Victor Ayeni, an internationally recognised expert in Public Administration.
