UNIABUJA expels 28 students over cultism, other offenses


The University of Abuja has expelled 28 students after its Senate approved recommendations from the Student Disciplinary Committee over a range of misconduct cases.

The decision, announced on Sunday by the Acting Director of Information, Habib Yakoob, followed the Senate’s review of the committee’s report on disciplinary violations.

According to the university, the affected students were found culpable of offences such as cult-related activities, examination malpractice, burglary, theft, conspiracy, assault, threats to life, as well as possession and use of hard drugs.
