On, 29/08/2018, the students of the university of Benin came out en-mass to exercise their franchise in the annual student unionelection, and candidate Charles Idehen of management science emerged as the new uniben sug president with Chikamso Glory becoming his vice.
Students from various faculties voted across designated polling centers on campus, and about 8pm, the results where announced with charles emerging president, the election was said to be a free and fair one.
The new new administration has been advised to actively protect the interest of the students, as the previous administration was put under the heels by the school authority, they have been asked to rule with wisdom and fearlessness.
