U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced the deportation of Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, a Nigerian national described as a former member of the Bloods street gang.
In a post seen by Dockaysworld, ICE said Ijaoba was in the United States illegally and had an extensive criminal record involving violent and drug-related offences.
According to the agency, his convictions include aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm, assault and aggravated assault, and armed robbery.
ICE also listed obstruction, drug sales, and escaping police custody among his criminal offences.
The agency described the Bloods as a notoriously violent street gang and said Ijaoba’s criminal history posed a serious public safety concern.
ICE confirmed that Ijaoba had a final order of removal and was held in its custody pending deportation to Nigeria.
