Verydarkman, Mr Jollof will face full wrath of the law over airplane fight – NCAA

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has vowed to take decisive action over the Verydarkman and Mr Jollof fight aboard an airplane enroute to Lagos.

In a firm statement seen by Dockaysworld, signed by Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, the NCAA condemned the altercation as unacceptable and dangerous, stressing that both men will be held fully accountable.

“There is no tolerance for unruly behaviour aboard an aircraft. Both individuals will face the full strength of the law,” Achimugu said.

He added, “even more shameful when one considers both of them partners in educating their millions of followers to avoid unruly behavior.”

Achimugu explained that he first became aware of the video while onboard his own flight and had immediately attempted to alert Consumer Protection Officers to begin preliminary checks.

He added that the next procedural step is for the airline involved to officially report the incident to the NCAA, after which the authority’s legal department will determine sanctions.

He emphasized that the conduct of the two men was not only irresponsible but also posed risks to everyone on board.

“The actions of both men put the safety of all other passengers and the crew at risk. It also put the safety of the aircraft at risk,” the statement read.

The NCAA spokesperson also questioned whether the flight crew deplaned the duo, warning that if they were allowed to remain onboard and flown to their destination, “there will be consequences.”

Achimugu reaffirmed the agency’s ongoing efforts to clamp down on disruptive behaviour in the aviation sector.

“The NCAA has exerted a lot of energy and resources in educating passengers about the dangers of unruly behaviour and its consequences,” he noted.

He stressed that the agency is gathering full details and will issue a comprehensive statement as more information becomes available: “No matter what led to the fracas, there is no excuse that makes it acceptable.”

Meanwhile Mr Jollof and Verydarkman are currently within the custody of the Delta state airport police command.
