In doing so, the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic man became the fifth Inter Milan player born in
Nigeria to feature in the Milan derby after Taribo West, Nwankwo Kanu, Obafemi Martins and Joel Obi.

The win takes inter above Juventus at the top of the standings thanks to their superior goal difference.
