Manchester United failed to take the opportunity to go fifth in the Premier League as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at basement boys Watford.
Strikes from Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney gave the Hornets just their second top-flight win of the season, although United had largely themselves to blame.
David de Gea’s howler allowed Sarr’s tame effort to slip straight through his hands and into the net to give the hosts the lead.
