The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has finally confirmed that Dubai based bureau de change operator, Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha is in their custody for alleged fraud.
In a chat with PREMIUM TIMES, it was revealed that Mr Mustapha was arrested in connection to alleged graft and has been moved to Lagos.
A spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed Mr Mustapha had been arrested. The arrest was reportedly a joint operation between Interpol and the EFCC.

Umar Garba, Nigeria’s head of Interpol, also confirmed to that he had learnt of the arrest and all enquiries should be treated by the EFCC as the primary law enforcement institution in charge of the investigation.
Recall, there had been several reports of his arrest including that of investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo.
