Ace musician Ycee has shared his view on reports that Nigerians excel when overseas as opposed to when they are in Nigeria.
He said that Nigerians usually thrive and excel above everyone else when exposed to a system that works.
The rapper seemed worried about how frequently Nigerians travel overseas to excel and develop a foreign land, asked why such development cannot be implemented in Nigeria.

His statement was made in reaction to a video by CNN, discussing President Donald Trump’s visa ban on Nigerians who contribute immensely to USA’s development both academically and economically. CNN’s report said:
“Nigeria was added to the Trump administration’s controversial visa and travel bans list. @FareedZakaria analyzes whether this is a security measure or a result of Trump’s views on immigration.”
Ycee then reacted by saying:
“seen this video and a lotta people say they’re proud of Nigeria, personally this makes me sad because yet again it shows that when Nigerians are exposed to a system that works, we thrive and excel above everyone else … so why can’t we make our own country work?”
