Former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has advised his followers to never lend money to people who use better phones than them.
Reno said that it was wrong to do so as one would be aiding the fake lifestyle of the borrower.
He said using such phones was living above their means as phones were for communication simply and not as status symbols.

He added giving was made to give a person necessities and not luxuries.
He wrote:
A phone is a COMMUNICATION gadget, not a STATUS symbol. NEVER give money to someone who uses a better phone than you. Doing so is not CHARITY. It is STUPIDITY. You are enabling their FALSE LIFESTYLE. CHARITY funds NECESSITIES, not LUXURIES #FreeLeahSharibu #RenosNuggets
