Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has explained the kind of presidential candidate he will support in the 2027 general election.
Speaking during a television interview in Abuja on Tuesday, August 19, Wike said his choice will be guided by the interest of the nation rather than personal or political sentiment.
He said that his support will go to a candidate who is committed to Nigeria’s progress and has the capacity to move the country forward.
He said: “I will support somebody who I know will make Nigeria to grow, somebody who has the interest of Nigeria at heart. I don’t believe in sentiments, I don’t believe in mere emotion.”
When asked about the issue of power rotation, Wike stated that the presidency should remain in the southern region in 2027.
