Nigerian popular star musician, Ayo Balogun a.k.a wizkid has become the first Nigerian musician to be nominated for NAACP image award.
The artiste bagged this nomination after his ‘Brown Skin Girl’ collaboration with American singer Beyonce.
The song was however nominated for “Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration” at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards.

Other artists nominated for that category from other country include : Drake, Alicia Keys, J Cole, Chris Brown amongst others.
The singer has since started receiving congratulatory messages from fans and fellow celebrities while many have showered him with prayers to win the award.
