The responsible parties for the looting of Shoprite during the retaliation for xenophobic attacks in South Africa have been paraded and the stolen goods recovered.

Recall, an angry mob had invaded the mall in Lagos when Nigerians were reportedly being killed in South Africa.

They had done it to carry out revenge on the South African owned company.

Area Commander of Shangotedo, Gbolahan Olugbemi, said a total of 125 suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack on Shoprite with 90% of the stolen goods recovered.

According to the police, 112 of those arrested were found in possession of stolen items and have been charged to court.
