11 Arrested For Eating During Ramadan (PHOTOS)

The Department of Public Enlightenment of the Kano State Hisbah Board apprehended 11 Muslims for eating during Ramadan fasting.

Hisbah spokesman Lawal Fagge confirmed the arrests, involving 10 men and one woman, who were later released after pledging not to miss fasts intentionally again.

According to Fagge, they were reported by bystanders, including a woman selling groundnuts who was seen eating from her stock.

Director-General Abba Sai’Idu warned non-Muslim residents against eating publicly during Ramadan, stating it’s unlawful to undermine Islamic practices or tempt fasting Muslims.
