An Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officer identified as Bashir Umar has been promoted by the Nigerian Chief of Air Staff following his noble act of returning a missing €37,000 to its owner.
According to President Buhari’s media aide, Bashir has received double promotion and was decorated with a new rank of Corporal, a reward for his integrity.
The Aircraftman (ACM) also received a letter of commendation from the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force in Abuja, during a special decoration ceremony.

He had found the missing cash at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, and returned it to its owner on the 7th of July 2019.
