Just in: Sanusi arrested and exiled to Nassarawa as Ganduje appoints new Emir

Muhammad Sanusi II who was dethroned by the Governor as Emir of Kano earlier today, has been whisked away by operatives and banished to Nassarawa with a new Emir appointed.

He had been under house arrest in his palace with heavy presence of the DSS, military and police. The former CBN Governor will reportedly spend the rest of his life in the New state.

Meanwhile the Kano state government has announced the appointment of Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano.

Until his appointment, Aminu Ado Bayero, was the Emir of Bichi, one of the four rival emirates created by governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.
