A stray hyena has been caught and detained at a Police station in Kano state after an alarm were raised by the residents.
The hyena was caught on Monday evening amidst panic and confusion. According to reports, the hyena had not harmed anyone before it was apprehended.
The incident reportedly happened in the Kura local government area of the state. The origin of the hyena is not known.

The residents did not immediately try to kill the predator as they captured it and tied it up after hours of struggle on the road.
Terrorized citizens came out to catch a glimpse of the wild animal that caused the commotion after which it was taken to the Police station and detained.
It is unclear what has become of the animal.
