Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has carried out a minor reshuffle of the State Executive Council, involving the redeployment of key officials in his cabinet.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor.
In the statement seen by Dockaysworld, the governor redeployed his Chief of Staff, Hon. Gani Audu, to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources as Commissioner.
Okpebholo noted that Audu’s appointment as commissioner is subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.
The governor also appointed Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, formerly Commissioner for Lands and Housing, as the new Chief of Staff.
Barrister Vincent Osas Uwadiae was redeployed from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.
Okpebholo said the reshuffle is aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery, and enhancing efficiency in the administration of the state.
