The executive governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statewide broadcast, the governor announced that he decamped alongside members of his cabinet and all officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
He said the decision was made after wide-ranging consultations to align the state with the centre.
