A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama has ordered Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American passport as his defence continues in a $2.1 million fraud suit against him.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday after counsel to the claimants, Hamza Dantani, asked the court to see the passport.
Jordan, who denies the allegations, told the court during cross-examination that he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025 and travelled on his American passport. He said he could produce it if required.
The claimants, Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, allege that Jordan collected $2.1 million to facilitate the acquisition of land in Katampe and Guzape but failed to deliver the plots or refund the money.
Jordan has denied knowing the claimants or receiving the money, describing the allegations as an attempt to blackmail his father and extort money.
He also disputes the signature and passport details contained in an alleged acknowledgment of payment, while maintaining that the passport number cited by the claimants belonged to an expired passport.
The court also heard that the claimants’ allegations had previously been investigated by the FCT Police Command. A police report attached to Jordan’s filings reportedly recommended that the first claimant face charges including defamation, giving false information and attempted extortion.
The case was adjourned until Wednesday for continuation, with Jordan ordered to produce his American passport.
