Married woman gives birth to quintuplets after 20 years of barrenness (photos)

A Ghanaian woman identified as Maame Cynthia, who has been married for 20 years without a child, has finally given birth to quintuplets (5 babies).

The 45-year-old was overjoyed to welcome her set of two girls and three boys at Sam-J Specialist Hospital at Haatso, Accra in Ghana. 

The babies had been conceived through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). 

Maame spoke about the journey that led her to her children. She revealed that she had been married twice before but the two men had divorced her due to her inability to conceive. She however never gave up hope.

When she remarried she kept on trying and with fate on her side, she was rewarded with 5 bouncing babies.
