Police summon saraki over the murder of 31 persons in offa robbery

Senate president, bukola saraki has been summoned by the I G of police, ibrahim idris in respect to the killing of 31 persons following the armed robbery attack that took place in offa, kwara state on the 5th of april 2018.

The Police said that on investigation, one of the suspects arrested in the attack confessed to being sponsored by senate pres. Saraki.

It would be reccalled that Saraki was previously summoned by the police in June, but the invitation was withdrawn and he was required to submit his response to the allegations in writing.

Since then no further update was issued on the case not untill yesterday when the ig of police issued a statement asking saraki to come clear some grey areas in his statement.

The police said Saraki had said in the statement which he submitted before stated that he would not comment on the alleged confession of the suspects since he was not allowed to see in detail what thier statement entailed.

The new letter by the police said he would now have the chance to read the statements of his accusers when he turns himself in at the Intelligence Response division in Guzape, Abuja.

He was asked to come by 8:00 a.m. on July 24.
