Comedian Bovi saves fan from committing suicide

Popular Nigerian comedian Bovi, has shared a message from a fan who revealed how he saved him from drinking sniper and committing suicide.

In the message, the aggrieved fan had narrated how he had almost taken his life before taking to YouTube to view some of the comedian’s old performance and had decided not go ahead after the videos cheered him up. 

Bovi stated that he usually received such messages and that he had prayed to God for the ability to not just make people laugh but to also make them happ. 

He wrote:

I get mails like this all the time. I remember vividly my prayer to God when I started stand-up comedy professionally; “dear God, I don’t just want to make people laugh. I want to make them happy”. Mental health issues are real. Let’s not think people are bluffing all the time. Even people who threaten to take their lives but don’t also need help. Lastly, happiness is a choice. Let’s always remember that.
