A Nigerian Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Benjamin Uwajumogu, is dead.
The lawmaker’s death was verified by journalists outside the Senate chamber on Wednesday by the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha.
Senator Benjamin had reportedly slumped while he was in the bathroom. He was found and hurriedly rushed to a private hospital in Apo, Abuja.

He was confirmed dead moments later in the hospital. His cause of death remains unknown at the moment.
