We’re ready to embrace peace – Donald Trump says after Iran missile attacks

United States President, Donald Trump has said that the US is ready to embrace peace after Iran’s missile strikes.

The president however stated they were only willing to do this “with all those who seek peace”.

Trump made this known in a nationwide broadcast after he’d earlier confirmed via his twitter account that the Iranians had launched missile attacks at US bases in Iraq.

He however stated that no Americans were killed by the strike despite reports circulating that 80 US soldiers had perished in the attack.

“To the people and leaders of Iran, we want you to have a future and a great future, one that you deserve,” Trump said.

“One of prosperity at home and harmony with the nations of the world. The United States is ready to embrace peace with all who seek it.”

The US president also announced fresh sanctions on Iran, saying the sanctions will be in place until “Iran changes its behaviour”.

He also revealed that America was no longer dependent on the Middle East for crude oil as it used to be. He said that the US was now self sufficient energy wise.
