Just in: Bobrisky’s nemesis NCAC boss Runsewe sentenced to prison

Olusegun Runsewe, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), has been sentenced to prison.

The judgement was passed by Justice Jude Okeke of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday.

Runsewe, who is famous for vowing to deal with Bobrisky for allegedly being the reason for increased suicide and decadence amongst Nigerians had been found guilty of contempt of court.

The judge had ruled on a motion drawn from a suit filed by Ummakalif Limited against the Minister of the FCT; Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA); DG of NCAC, and the Minister for Culture and Tourism, as the first, second, third and fourth defendants respectively.

In the motion, the claimant sought an order of the court committing Runsewe to prison for contempt of court order made on December 15, 2017.

Justice Okeke condemned Runsewe’s contempt and ordered that he be sent to the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) for it and also to serve as a scapegoat for other public office others who abuse their standing and disregard court orders.

He ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to arrest Runsewe with immediate effect and hand him over to the NCS till he was no longer found wanting.
