Just in: Campaign Coordinator of Governor Aiyedatiwa murdered

A campaign coordinator for the Ondo state Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa identified as Alaba Excel Abbey has been murdered, Dockaysworld can confirm.

Mr. Abbey, who held the role of ward coordinator for the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF), was assassinated at his residence in Supare Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area.

It was reported that Mr. Abbey also served as the returning officer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 10 during the recently concluded primary elections of the party.

His younger brother, Samuel Abbey, confirmed the devastating incident, stating that the politician was shot in front of his home.

In response to the shocking news, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organization Foot-Soldiers (LACO-SF) condemned the brutal murder of Mr. Abbey.

The group urged the relevant security agencies, particularly the police, to ensure the safety of its members and protect them from such vicious attacks by unknown assailants.

Speaking on behalf of the campaign organization, spokesperson Kayode Fasua emphasized that the late Abbey was actively engaged in campaign activities for Aiyedatiwa until his untimely demise.

David Ajobiewe, the Director-General of LACO-FS in Akoko Southwest Local Government, lamented the killing of Abbey, describing it as a significant tragedy.

He said:

“Excel had been a resourceful coordinator for the Aiyedatiwa campaign organisation in Ward 10 of Supare and was never known to be violent and never had any history of a local or domestic dispute.
“We urge the police authorities to step up investigations into his gruesome murder and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book,”

The Police Public Relations (PPRO), Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya also confirmed the situation and the coming investigation:

“The state command is aware of the incident (killing) but investigation is ongoing to unravel all that happened,”
