Police intervene just in time to stop man from killing wife

The Bariga Police Station, Lagos state police command, have apprehended a certain 45-year-old by name Christopher Lament for attempted murder of his wife, Comfort Christopher with a knife.

A statement was released by the state police command spokesperson, Bala Elkana, and it stated that the woman was rescued by the Police following a distress call with the knife was retrieved and documented as exhibit.

Bala stated that the couple, both from Akwa Ibom, were married for 13 years with two children.The suspect lost his banking job five years ago and the wife currently not working.

Bala said that an argument reportedly led to the suspect attempting to stab the victim with a knife. He also added investigation is ongoing and the suspect will be charged to court soon.
