Pastor Adeboye bows to pressure, deletes tweet condemning Hamas and backing Israel

  • Adeboye has taken down a video on X where he was backing Israel
  • This is following a backlash the pastor received earlier

Following a wave of backlash and criticism, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has deleted a tweet in which he expressed support for Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

The tweet contained a video in which he was seen praying for Israel and condemning Hamas.

The tweet had ignited a heated debate, with many Nigerians questioning Pastor Adeboye’s stance and urging him to address issues within Nigeria rather than taking a position on the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The video was met with strong opposition, particularly from those who believed that the religious leader should prioritize matters within his own country.
