Pastor Adeboye bows to pressure, deletes tweet condemning Hamas and backing Israel

Following a wave of backlash and criticism, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has deleted a tweet in which he expressed support for Israel in the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

The tweet contained a video in which he was seen praying for Israel and condemning Hamas.

The tweet had ignited a heated debate, with many Nigerians questioning Pastor Adeboye’s stance and urging him to address issues within Nigeria rather than taking a position on the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The video was met with strong opposition, particularly from those who believed that the religious leader should prioritize matters within his own country.

The controversy over the tweet prompted Pastor Adeboye to reconsider his public statement, and he ultimately decided to delete the tweet in response to the widespread criticism and pressure from Nigerians.
