Rest in peace Fawaz Alabi. You were a progressive, a conservative, an Omoluabi, an Awori, a proper Yorùbá man, a BATIST, authentic Lagosian and a nationalist to the core.

We all miss you, may we meet on the resurrection day.
You never joked with the upliftment of the Awori people in Lagos. You had a lot to offer your people.
@lengdrxx We will never forget this Twitter handle till the end of time.
I am crying as I write this about you”.

Another tweep, Lord of Warri posted:

“I received devastating news this morning. It pains me to share that we have lost one of our beloved followers here on X. Fawaz Alabi, also known as the legendary Alabi, has left us. Throughout our space hosting and history post, we engaged in countless conversations with him, and he proved to be a staunch supporter of our work.

“In this moment of grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Fawaz Alabi’s family, friends, and the entire Yoruba community on X. May they find solace and strength during this difficult time.

“May the soul of @lengdrxx rest in eternal peace. ️
