Nationwide Celebration as Nigerian President, Buhari Turns 76

Celebration has filled the Nigerian atmosphere today as her president, pres. Muhammadu Buhari celebrates his 76th year birthday.

Dignitaries, Top figures and Nigerians in diaspora, have taken to various platforms to wish the president a happy brithday.

President buhari was born of the 17th of December 1942, in Daura, Kastina state from whence he joined the Nigerian army and seized power through a military coup in 1983.

He was then overthrown and detained in 1985 following a millitary coup led by general ibrahim babaginda.

He then began to pursue his political ambitions since the end of the military regime and contested in every election since 2003, untill he was elected President in the 2015 general elections under the All progressive Congress(APC) defeating incubent president, Goodluck Jonathan.

While some nigerians wished president buhari a happy birthday, other have also criticized his government, as the nation has  been rocked by various economic problems since he took over power in 2015.

With the 2019 general elections drawing closer, nigerians but can hope what the future hold for them.
