Tinubu sacks INEC RECs

President Bola Tinubu has sacked three suspended Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The affected officials are Ike Uzochukwu (Abia), Hudu Yunusa-Ari (Adamawa), and Nura Ali (Sokoto).

They were suspended for alleged misconduct during the 2023 general election.

Tinubu informed the Senate of his decision through a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary session.
