Justice Daniel Abutu, a former Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, has died at the age of 78.
According to a statement released by the court’s Chief Registrar, Sulaiman Amida Hassan, the retired judge passed away on June 3 following a brief illness.
Born on March 15, 1946, in Kogi State, Justice Abutu was remembered for his dedicated service to the judiciary and the nation.
The court praised his commitment to justice and administrative excellence, noting that his leadership left a lasting impact on both the legal system and the broader legal community.
